This stunning piece of yew is part of a 150 year old tree that was felled in the garden below, so it has only travelled a few metres. It is a stunning piece with a wide variety of colours and tones.

The wood is so beautiful that it breaks the standing rules on perfection - in the past pieces of wood with splits and imperfections were used as firewood - wood does split, does have imperfections and is not bone china, so to engage with wood is to engage with its imperfections.
